Titled “Now Let Us Shift” after the essay by Chicana writer Gloria Anzaldúa, this show will display recent 2D/3D works by artists who self-identify as Latinx, Tejana/o, Chicana/o, and/or Hispanic. Encompassing a variety of media -- painting, printmaking, photography, video, and sculpture -- we hope to inspire dialogue and awareness about prominent issues in Latinx visual culture including spirituality, gender, borders, family, indigeneity, nature, fantasy, and self-representation.
The exhibition is at the Del Mar College Cain Gallery from September 29th - December 6. Check gallery visitor hours for visitation information.
