Corpus Zine
Recounting tales of oral history from my caretakers, Corpus Zine #1 describes SouthTexas barrio history with a look inside multigenerational living from Corpus Christi, Texas. This issue features Mary & Adan Perez, two of the baddest most realest Tejanos who are dearly missed. Their photo is printed on the back cover of the zine. Currently out of print.
Zine details:
The zine is handwritten, photocopied, and six pages in length with color illustration and cut-and-paste style layout. Corpus Zine #1 is approximately 5" x 7" in size with side saddle-stitching.
Corpus Zine was featured in the “Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving” exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum as part of the exhibition Pop-Up Library. Find more information HERE.
Copies are available for borrowing around the USA.
This photo is of Mary & Adan Perez from Corpus Christi, Texas. Corpus Zine pays homage to their lives and to the oral histories they shared with me.
